BIJOU BLOOM

‘Bijou Bloom’ directs focus to the contrasting qualities of fossilised corals, strong and untouched for millions of years, with the fragility of coral reefs facing extreme pressures of climate change. 

 

This commercially focused co-ordinated print collection for interiors is intended for scatter cushions and wallpapers. Ideas of contrast and diffusion are explored to reflect changes in pressure and strength, with considered materiality and playful printing processes including devore, flock, puff, and reactive printing. The resulting designs provide a sense of luxury derived from rich materiality and details accompanied with a refined colour palette.
